Certified Instructor Training Workshop

What You'll Learn

USCCA Certified Instructor Course is a premier, dual-phase credentialing program designed to transform experienced shooters into elite, professional educators.

Certified directly by a USCCA Training Counselor, this course gives you the official blueprint, industry-recognized curriculum, and presentation mastery required to teach Concealed Carry, Home Defense, and Basic Handgun fundamentals nationwide.

The program pairs foundational online preparation with an intensive two-day classroom and range residency. Rather than just testing your shooting ability, this course shifts the camera entirely onto your teaching methodology, instructional mechanics, and real-time public speaking skills.

Program Structure & Delivery

• Phase 1: Pre-Course Virtual Mastery: Complete the mandatory USCCA online learning modules at your own pace before arriving. This establishes a solid grasp of core teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and foundational knowledge bases.
• Phase 2: The Two-Day Practical Residency: Dive into immersive classroom modules focused on instructional leadership, group dynamics, and mitigating top instructor pitfalls.

What You Will Master

• The Art of the Teach-Back: Stepping up to the podium to present core modules under the strict critique of a Training Counselor, perfecting your delivery, pacing, and student engagement.
• Adult Learning Dynamics: Understanding how to break down complex legal, physical, and tactical concepts into digestible lessons for students of all experience levels.
• Live-Fire Range Instruction: Transitioning from shooting for yourself to safely and effectively managing a hot firing line, spotting shooter errors, and running student diagnostics.
• Building a Firearms Training Business: Navigating the professional logistics of hosting classes, leveraging the USCCA instructor portal, marketing your courses, and protecting your business.

Certification Requirements

To leave this residency as a fully credentialed USCCA Instructor, candidates must successfully clear all evaluations, including:

• Scored Knowledge Testing: Demonstrating flawless comprehension of the legal use of force, home defense concepts, and safety principles.
• Practical Teach-Back Evaluations: Delivering passing marks on your assigned interactive classroom presentations.
• The Official USCCA Shooting Qualification: A scored live-fire standard displaying total platform mastery under tight metrics.
